Waltlec installed a 263.7kW rooftop Solar Photo-voltaic System for the The Fairfield Home Makers Centre in Townsville. The system comprises of 972 x 275W Seraphim solar modules, 2 x ABB 100kW Inverters and 1 x ABB 50kW Inverter. The PV system produces over 479975kWh per year, which significantly reduces the centres demand on the electricity network. The install comes complete with a PV Distribution board, full monitoring system and Grid protection through the use of ABB Metering and controls. 


The install was made even harder in February as the project neared completion, Townsville was hit with the largest monsoonal event ever recorded. Unfortunately the Home Maker Center was directly in the firing line and located in one of the suburbs most effected. Waltlec unfortunately loss a scissor lift, tools and much more.
